Welcome! I have been running my own business since 1997 .. remember, the days before most Canadians thought the Internet have any value or that it would all fall apart in the year 2000 when computers all over the world would crash! I remember talking to people about developing a website in those days and they would look at me like I had suddenly grown two heads.
How fast times change. The year 2000 came and went and suddenly there was this tidal wave of people clammering over each other to get an online presence. Fast forward to 2009 and now our grandchildren are practically born with a computer in their hand.. many of our children have never known a life without the Internet.
Over the years, I have had the thrill of networking and building websites for fabulous people that set out to do BOLD things with their business. Some have gone on to be wildly successful, others have moved onto other things in their lives. This is fine.. we all need to do what is right for us.. because if you’re not having fun, then it’s not worth doing.
I have also run online and face to face network groups for over 10 years now with six active chapters in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario. You can find out more about that on our main site at http://www.peopleinconnection.com
I have the loving support of my husband, Bill Mushing who is fabulous. He is our technical director/Producer for the show, he is our on-site IT department and my greatest supporter. He also does computer service and repairs when othes need his help. He partners with me on the Internet TV side of the business. We are also looking forward to him developing his own show on PIC TV! He also enjoys riding his motorcycle when I am not harrassing him here in the office.
My son Chris partners with me for the website design part of the business. He is awesome working with our clients and he also works full time downtown Hamilton at the Chateau Royale as a team co-ordinator. You will love dealing with him for updates to your website when you come onboard with us! My son is also turning into a great motivator and has a wonderful positive attitude about the world around him. His newest interest is doing some public speaking which I hope he pursues. He has a wonderful story that should be shared with others.
We also are bringing our daughter Melanie into the fold! Melanie will be assisting with the online promotions for People In Connection, so you may hear from her via email. As a mother of two wonderful boys, I am trying to get her to start her own blog in the new year that would have some great products and services that are great fun for parents and children.
We are pleased to have Mark Ironside from New Media Star TV onboard as an associate partner as well. Mark does much of the work in the field for those wanting on-site video . Mark is our mentor and got us started with the Internet TV show back in 2007. We are pleased that he continues to work with us to grow and improve our online presence. We have produced the show now for 2 seasons and interviewed over 100 guests! We are excited to start taping Season 3 in Janary 2010.
